THE USE OPTIMISATION
OF THE “SECONDARY” RAW MATERIAL

ReThinking the Future – Anthology One Tabu Collection is inspired by the sustainability values and optimal use of the “secondary” raw material. It stands out for its “musical score”, in which, the newly rediscovered natural dyed veneers enhanced in their biodiversity, the latest-generation multilaminar wood veneers, created by an increasing optimal use of the noble raw material, the industrial inlays (Graffiti Collection) created by the reuse of wood and certified FSC® wood surfaces, the most important forest certification in the world, destined to Skeens Tabu Boiserie, simultaneously find their peculiarity.

SOLAR ENERGY,
870 TONS/YEAR OF CO₂ AVOIDED

In the perspective of energy self-sufficiency and the reduction of CO₂ emissions, since 2012 TABU has been equipped with a photovoltaic system among the largest in Lombardy, thus substantially reducing C0₂ emissions. Thanks to our solar systems with photovoltaic panels, with an average production of 1.640.000 kWh / year, we attest to a saving of 870 tons/year of CO₂.

COGENERATION,
870 TONS/YEAR OF CO₂ AVOIDED

We have carried out a cogeneration plant (combined production of electric and thermal energy under form of hot water for the processes) in EPC mode (Energy Performance Contract), at our factory in Cantù (CO).

The plant became operational during 2020.

• The cogeneration plant allows the combined production on site of electric and thermal energy (hot water for the productive processes);
• The installed cogeneration plant covers:
• 64% annual requirement of electric energy of the factory;
• 14% annual requirement of thermal energy of the factory.
• Besides, thanks to the cogenerator, the avoided emissions of CO₂ equivalent are equal to about 800 t/year.
